Underground Electric Service Installations

More and more customers are requesting underground service installations at their homes, farms, and businesses. Wayne-White has a full-time crew that does underground installations everyday. Secondary underground service installation rates are $2.50 per foot. Primary underground service installation rates are $3.00 per foot plus $530 for the padmount transformer. If conduit is needed in the installation process, the cost is $1.00 per foot extra for the conduit.

Obviously, an underground electric service installation is much more appealing to the eye compared to exposed wires and poles, and it reduces the chances of localized service interruption due to fallen tree limbs, vegetation growth, wind storms, ice storms, etc. Existing overhead services can also be converted to underground, in addition to new service add-ons.
